Concept of the vignette
I have read an article,it mentioned philosophy is the exploration of the existence of doctrine, that existence, the nature of the world, the universe(primitive)is the material, spiritual, soul or god? It’s also humanism, include the acknowledge of subjective world and the objective world.
I choose to express the subjective world and the objective world from a child’s perspective
kids are born to face the unknown world, full of curious, but no fear.
so They are the strongest when they were born.it is the first adventure as a human for everything they see. For example,in kids’ imagination, once bed-wetting could be an amazing trip on the ocean; The first time learning to walk, we may waddle when we walk,we may feel that the whole world is shaking.
The concept of my video is facing the world from the simple eyes of children and using the pure eyes to reflect the complexity of the real world. Also, I would like to share in an abstract way of the processor leaning the world as a child.
The kid in the film is a cube at the first time, it can learn any new things unlimitedly until the formation of world view. with the emergence of new things and constant awareness of things, the cube is shaped to a human gradually. At the same time, a room is building up and surrounded the cube, the new things like bricks of the room, the room imply the formation of world view of the kid.
The tone of the vignette is black and white. The whole show is remain in the one room. In my opinion, imagination could be infinite, the room in the film is a rationality cage,it offers a space for thinking logically, meanwhile,it also limit imagination. The room also represent the kid’s mind. with the changes of the outside world,it will make reactions through the changes of light, space, and symbolized pattern on the wall. Kids are watching the real world through the window and the real world intrudes the kid’s mind by the room door. Walls of the room are also important media of expression for the practical world.
I am still thinking about how to divide it into three parts.

Concept
We are living in the practical world, we desire for living in the ideal world. We are a part of nature, we absorb nutrients from the earth greedily, meanwhile, we are also restricted by nature.
Taoism, is a philosophical, ethical, and religious tradition of Chinese origin that emphasizes living in harmony with the Tao. Taoism emphasize wu-wei (action through non-action), "naturalness", simplicity, spontaneity, and the three treasures: compassion, moderation, and humility. To some extent, the theory of wu-wei is similar to New Materialism in some aspects.
Notes of New Materialism
“Man” is the one who orders the world and produces a picture of the world
Democritus' systematic materialist theory held that reality consists only of "atoms and void" (void: universe, space)
Epicurus ascribed a dynamic freedom to atoms through what he identified as the unpredictable swerve of atoms.
What draws all these theories under the one umbrella "materialism" is an understanding or theory of the world asserting that: all entities and processes, including human beings, "are composed of- or are reducible to- matter, material forces or physical processes"
he new materialist discourse derives its urgency from the ethical, ecological and political imperatives that loom as a consequence of this view of the world.
Things- beyond- objects
The subject, it seems, has come to care too much for itself. Put simply, the idea that the world is a passive resource for use by active humans is no longer sustainable.
rethinking of the relationship between humans and non- humans
New materialism aims to return to matter, the vivacity denied by social constructivist theories that posit all social processes and, indeed reality itself, as socially and ideologically constituted.
Whilst each artistic form has a unique relation to the matter of things, the humanist view of relationship of matter to form was codified in modernism's notion "truth to materials".
In 1911, the modernist visual art critic Roger Fry claimed that in order to get at material beauty it is "necessary to respect the life and quality of the material itself".
